Editorial Review:

Product Description:
The Flynn brothers have inherited more than a New Orleans plantation. They've inherited a ghostly presence… and a long-kept secret.

Aidan Flynn, a private investigator and eldest of the Flynn brothers, scoffs at the haunted-house rumors—especially since Kendall Montgomery, a tarot card reader who has been living in the mansion, is the one to tell him the tale of a woman in white. But when he finds a human bone on the grounds and another by the river, Aidan delves into the dark history of the Flynn plantation.

Forced together to uncover the truth, Aidan and Kendall realize that a serial killer whose victims seem to vanish into thin air has long been at work…and that their own fates are about to be sealed forever unless they believe in the unbelievable.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - First in the Flynn Brother's Trilogy!
Aidan Flynn is a private investigator that just learned that he and his two brothers have become the owners of a haunted plantation and if that is not enough, Aidan is positive that bones that have been turning up around New Orleans, is not the result of the ravaging of Hurricane Katrina. He's positive a serial killer is haunting the city. When he meets tarot reader Kendall Montgomery, who lived out at his family's plantation for a while, speaks of a lady in white and lights shining in the middle ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Ghosts, voodoo and romance
Loved it! Has all of my favorite things, ghosts, plantation, voodoo, mystery and romance. Didn't want to put it down. Can't wait to read next two in series.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Ominously
When you read a book and everything you read is part of the story, that's a good book. This ghostly book is so well written that maybe you would have nightmares... just kidding. But the plot will keep you wanting to know what will happen next and that's what a good writer should do.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Mystery/Paranormal Combo
This is the first novel of the prolific Heather Graham that I have read and it is book one in a trilogy about the Flynn Brothers. They have inherited an old plantation house in New Orleans from an aunt they did not even know existed. The oldest, Aiden, is a former FBI agent who left the agency after the death of his wife. His introduction to the Big Easy is an unnerving one. While walking along the muddy banks of the Mississippi he finds a human thigh bone with pieces of flesh clinging to it. He imagines ... Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Perfect combination of mystery, romance and ghostly coincidences...
I haven't read much of Ms. Graham's work (only one other novel prior to this one), but I have to say that Deadly Night firmly placed me in the "fan" category. I really enjoyed the historical background that was laid out in this novel and the way that it was carefully weaved into the story line to create extra twists and turns. The characters were also extremely likeable and I feel the set-up for the next two novels in this series was perfect. All in all, a really nice read.
