Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Simon Garth is the original Marvel zombie!
Simon Garth is just simply awesome! If you enjoy zombie comics (by zombie I mean literally anything involving zombies, not just this particular zombie)or are an avid zombie fan, then you can't go wrong with this purchase. Most comics or novels follow actual people or survivors, wheres as Simon Garth is the main character in "The Zombie". I would highly recommend this to anyone, be it a comic collector or zombie fanatic or both :)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - 70's Marvel horrors...Unleashed!!!
If you were there, picking up this title at the local drug store in the 70's,you'll likely go gaga seeing this again - I know I did! The art, at its best, is flat-out FANTASTIC. Being originally published in glorious black and white, you wont be missing anything (other than the slightly reduced scale). The overall "bang for the buck",for those that actually READ their comics, is almost unrivaled as you get several issues compiled into one handy volume.Paper quality is pretty thin/cheap,much like the ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Garth, the Zombie walks again!
This is one excellent trip down memory lane. I read these all when they were first released (I still own the originals)and now I'm re-reading them for the first time in years. I can't recall the fate of Garth, which is great, almost like reading a whole new tale (like watching a movie again that you haven't seen in years). I just received my book and it is already falling apart at the binding, nothing a little Gorilla Glue won't fix, I am still rating it 5 stars just because of the fantastic content ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Power of Voodoo
For all those folks out there like myself who have had a steady diet of the Romero zombies in both movies and in print this very sizeable compendium that covers the arc of Simon Garth, who is cursed to walk the earth as a voodoo resurected zombie, this gives you a different slant on the whole walking dead thing.
We are given the entire progression of the somewhat free willed zombie (he wears a necklace that has a twin, whoever possesses it controls him, but at certain times he can resist its powers). ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The year of the Zombie
The sad and tragic tale of Simon William Garth, the Zombie, started in the fifties when comic book legends Stan Lee and Bill Everett created the undead character for Atlas's horror comic Menace. Newsstands were flooded with a wave of horror titles like Tales from the Crypt, Black Cat, Weird and Dick Briefer's horrific classic The Monster of Frankenstein. All of which fell victim of the newly instated Comic Code Authority. The Authority imposed a list of inflexible self-regulations, devised by the Association ... Read More
