Editorial Review: Product Description: Featuring over 60 classics of the 1950's that caused a furor in the US and sparked legislation to crack down on explicit horror, this volume also includes modern contributors. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Horror ReviewNot a bad collection of stories for the price, but not great. Also the cover says over 50 great horror comics which is a lie. there are only 48 stories. Should be 51 according to the cover!! I suggest getting the House of Mystery Showcases first if you have not done so yet! Rating: - Horror, Gore and more GoreIf you like E.C. Horror comics this isn't it. the comics reprinted here were their compititors in the worst way. Lousy stories and the art is good to fair. However if you never heard of E.C. or just like Horror in general, then your in for a treat with a price that can't be beat. Rating: - Great selection for the price, nicely done. The comics are presented in black and white (as any good horror comic should be). Editor Peter Normanjon also does a nice job of dividing the tales up by decades guiding the reader along from the 50's through present day with a nice introduction page to each tale. Some of my favorites in the bunch include: *DREAD END - a nice giant monster tale and there's ... Read More Rating: - Ventage comics collectionsThe artwork was great with the recreation of the comic in readable and good text form. The use of printing the stories in black and white added and enhance the reading for the reader. Now if they could only put out a publication of the collections of mysteries in space, and the complete collection of WEIRD SCIENCE (only vol 1 and 2 are available at this time).
