- a good movie that people don`t like.I don`t know why people are negatively reviewing batman and robin.It is an entertaining,enjoyable and fun film to watch.Also the story is interesting.Batman returns is a horrible film and sequel,Batman begins is ok,but not great and the dark knight is a boring BATMAN movie.THE 1989 batman movie is a gigantic blockbuster that combines slam bang action and psychological complexity.

Story Takes Precedence Over Comic-Book Schtick.In the original "Batman" & "Batman Returns," the storylines (or what shreds there were) were overwhelmed by the comic-book schtick left over from the wonderful 1960's "Batman" series. The schtick was fine for the series, but for the films...AUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. GOOD GRIEF! I think people should watch the movie again and judge then.
This movie has plenty of colorful action and good art direction. This movie doesn't take itself seriously nor is it as dark as Batman returns which is different but good.
