American servicemen are still being held captive in Vietnamand it's up to one man to bring them home in this blistering, fast-paced action/adventure starring martial arts superstar Chuck Norris.Following a daring escape from a Vietnamese POW camp, Special Forces Colonel James Braddock (Norris) is on a mission to locate and save remaining MIAs. Aided by a beautiful State Department official (Lenore Kasdorf) and a former Army buddy (M. Emmet Walsh), Braddock amasses top secret information and state-of-the-art weaponry. Now this one-man army is prepared to blast his way into Vietnam but will he be able to blast his way back out?

Through the idyllic but war-ridden jungles of Vietnam strides Chuck Norris as Braddock, one-man army, killing the enemy in droves with every gun burst, hauling wounded buddies to safety draped across his shoulders like sacks of wheat. He doesn't wear a helmet because clearly his head is not a particularly vulnerable area. As he leaps upon a vicious Vietcong who's brutally bayoneting a buddy of Braddock's, he plucks the rings from two hand grenades--and wakes from a recurring nightmare. Haunted by his memories, Braddock joins a delegation sent to Vietnam to negotiate for the return of missing-in-action prisoners of war (hence the movie's title, Missing in Action). But when the communist government accuses Braddock of war crimes, he fights back! It's all pretty preposterous--particularly the subtler absurdities, like when Braddock dresses entirely in stealthy ninjalike black except for his head, allowing his feathered blond locks to fly free--but fans of this kind of jingoistic action flick will find it satisfying enough. The fight scenes are frequent, if not particularly imaginative. Also featuring the great character actor M. - A heavily biased reviewTo be truthful, if it were any other person as the star, I'd probably give this no stars. But still, I have a special place in my heart for Chuck Norris. Most people know going into a movie like this that it is not driven by brilliant story telling. You want a fun movie where the hero kicks butt and takes names. - Loosing A GripThe only bad thing to come out of Bruce Lee's career is Chuck Norris. Lee was Asian and middle-America (i.e. rednecks) couldn't accept that at first. But they sure love fighting and a** kickin'. Enter Chuck Norris, a man half as skilled as Lee, but white.
"Missing in Action" is garbage and so is your mind if you like it.

- Ground ChuckA one star for some movies means that it really sucks. But one star for a Chuck Norris movie, this Chuck Norris movie, means that it is one of his better ones. I thought Missing in Action was a pretty entertaining 80's action movie. Sure it is crap but it is fun and exciting. Chuck is a horrible actor and has never gotten better but this movie is not a bad flick. Compared to some of his movies this is a 5 star. Compared to other movies... it is a one star.
