Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Graphic novel fans won't be able to resist as Dracula comes to make Gotham City his dark dominion, first preying on the homeless and then amassing an army to take on the good citizens of Gotham. Batman must forge an alliance with the undead to defeat this unholy foe in a duel that stretches beyond the boundaries of death.

Amazon.com Review:
Batman and the world's most famous vampire--seems like a perfect combination. Except for the fact that Dracula wants to turn Gotham City into his personal kingdom of the undead. Batman is left with no choice but to side with a renegade band of vampires and face Dracula face to face. Kelley Jones brings his creepy, exaggerated Wrightsonesque artwork to this clever story. A big favorite with the fans, the first edition of this graphic novel was out of print within a month.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Read if you dare....
A great story with a sad ending! IF you love Batman you won't like the ending! If you love vampires, you might? Good story but the way it was written, didn't like, didn't like the sacrifice, but I guess that is why Batman is who he is!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Slow but fantastic Read
Great story and a wonderful addition to the DC Elseworlds titles. Can't give away too much due to the fact it's a great story, READ THIS BOOK!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Red Rain Delivers
The anticipation of "Red Rain" by us Batman fans was filled with excitement. The concept was intriguing, Dracula vs Batman and since graphic novels had arrived as a sophisticated medium since the mid-late 80s, I expected a great deal. I was somewhat disappointed, but over the years I have came to appreciate the story more. Moench, Jones, Jones III and Dorscheid collaboration is stunning. The artwork is quite compelling as bright colors have a dark quality because of such great shading and panel ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Batman sucked dry
I recently purchased and read the "Batman Vampire" series due to my intrigue of batman being turned into a vampire. I dimwittedly expected this comic to hold a great story with stunning artwork and I was completely let down. The story is about as cliché as any vampire story but now with the characters of batman thrown in. Having read many Batman comic books with plot, character development, mystery and enemy fight sequences I was very disappointed with the lack of anything resembling batman in this ... Read More

Someone was going to do it sometime, Batman versus Dracula. Luckily, it was someone that did it reasonably well. Batman had fought vampires before, even one that was sneaky and kept his heart in a clock to prevent the usual stakes or crossbow bolt tricks working, but this one is a whole different story and feel to that sort of 70s thing.
