Amazon.com: When the Hulk gets angry, his movie gets good, so you wish he'd get angry more often. Accepting this challenge after the triumphant Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, director Ang Lee has created an ambitious film, based on the Marvel comic created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, that succeeds as a cautionary tale about mad science and traumatized children coping with legacies of pain. That's the Hulk's problem: After accidental exposure to gamma radiation, scientist Bruce Banner (Eric Bana) turns into the huge, green, and indestructible Hulk when provoked, and repressed childhood memories fuel his fury. Hobbled by the obligatory "origin story" (to acquaint neophytes with the character's Jekyll-and-Hyde-ish fate), there's room for little else in a sluggish film that struggles to reconcile Lee's stylistic flair (evident in his visual interpretation of comic-book technique) with the razzle-dazzle of a megabudget franchise. What's good is good (Jennifer Connelly essentially echoes her role from A Beautiful Mind, and Nick Nolte is righteously tormented as Banner's father), but the movie's schizoid intentions remain largely unclear. --Jeff Shannon Average Rating:

Rating: - Hulk SmashThis movie is awesome i just wish the director and writer stuck with the original origins of the hulk. Thats one thying about the movie i don't like but the rest is awesome. Jennifer connley is a good Betty Ross and Eric Banna was awesome as Bruce Banner. to bad they did stay in the second one. well all in all this movie was good. if you have not seen this movie then you should Rating: - Different from the Newer One, But GoodI have seen both the Eric Bana and the Edward Norton "Hulks," and I like both, but I like the Bana version better. The Bana version is darker, slower, more psychological, and the computer graphics (the backgrounds, fades, etc., but not the Hulk himself) are very psychedelic and very interesting. The Bana version ends where the Norton version begins. The general in Bana is a much more complex and interesting character, and so is the Connelly character (Liv Tyler ... Read More Rating: - It's actually pretty greatI actually really like Ang Lee's "Hulk". I find it fun, fast paced, imaginative and generally well acted. I really enjoyed the editing and the comic book-like transitions, it added a visual layer to the film that most comic book adaptations are missing. While it's not totally perfect: the plot can be a bit aimless and very little of the original story is included; it's still an above average adaptation. I appreciated that they took the time to develop the characters rather than just having all out action. ... Read More Rating: - Just as much a work of art as Ang Lee's "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon"!A TRUE WORK OF ART compared to the overly-special effects ladden one that starred Edward Norton,Liv Tyler, and William Hurt.At least, Ang Lee focuses much, much more on what really makes a truly great film. And that is a great character driven story, with great character development, thus letting us know what really makes the main characters,in the film that we are watching, tick and helping us know whether we should really care if they live or die.And it's such ...
