- A good sampling!when I first listened to this CD, I was expecting to hear original recordings of some of the music. It turned out to be a soloist and a piano, sometimes enhanced with additional voices and instruments. would have been nice to have a little more colonial era selections, but I was more than satisfied with the songs from the Civil War and World War 1. The arrangements are just right, and the tenor does a great job. Great for singing along with!

- A very good CD to buyI have bought many CD regarding American patriotic songs but it is the one that I prefer. The songs are sung in a very classic way and so, there are easy to listen. Jon English as a tenor gives an excellent performance. On the piano, Rob Carriker gives also an excellent performance; he does not try to cover the voice of Jon English but just to support his voice. - What A Blast - A Fun and Inspiring CDI have to admit - I didn't know what I'd be getting when I bought this album. I love Americana and have known some of these songs all my life: K-K-K-Katy, Keep the Home-Fires Burning, and Tenting on the Old Camp Ground. Others that are listed I had never heard before: The Soldier's Tear, When Alexander Takes His Ragtime Band to France, and the very funny Captain Jinks!
