- Get this record and you'll simply like itI certainly feel happy that I finally decided to purchase this CD. It is well performed and well recorded. I am sure most people will love this CD. This one is NOT like some other CDs, which are often confusing at first, but after several playing, you would start to understand. This CD is like love at first sight (or I should say first hear). Shostakovich's music is always attractive. Ashkenazy's performance adds beauty to the works.
