- Good toy, but not a great oneI was so excited when I caught sight of this toy in the local toy store... finally, Megatron back as a gun. I've never been a fan of the tank, dinosaur, drag racer, alien jet, etc, etc modes that they've come up for the Decepticon leader but the gun transformation from G1 is what Megatron is best suited for.
Course, this gun mode looks pretty kiddish, but I didn't intend to keep him in gun mode anyway. I loved the robot-mode's look from the packaging and I decided I would keep him in ... Read More

- Awesome update of a true classic.One of the best of the classic's line. I think my favorite thing about this toy is how it transforms. When I first saw it I couldn't see how the gun and robot modes were one and the same. It really is a marvalous feat of toy engineering. Highly recommended.

- Durable and complex in a good wayWe bought this for our 6 year old son and it greatly improved father-son bonding as he couldn't figure out how to get it back to pistol mode on his own. After school, he would be come back with the toy in robot mode and hand it to me to transform it back. He took comfort in the fact that his mother couldn't figure it out either.
