Description:
Explore the harrowing world of The Boondock Saints as never before in this Unrated Special Edition! Digitally remastered for extraordinary picture quality and exploding in 5.1 EX Dolby Surround Sound, this definitive two-disc edition of the cult phenomenon features deleted scenes, outtakes, two audio commentaries, a printable script and more!

Hot on the trail of the assailants behind the brutal murder of Russian thugs, FBI agent Paul Smecker (Willem Dafoe) is surprised to discover the killers are Irish twin brothers (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus) who believe they've been chosen to rid the world of evil. But as they unleash more brutality on the criminals of Boston's underworld, Smecker finds himself torn between busting the vigilantes...and joining them!

Amazon.com:
Charismatic young stars Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus play two Irish brothers, Connor and Murphy, who believe themselves ordained by God to rid the world of evil men. Their first killing is in self-defense; but after that, they start killing with devotion, gunning down a summit of the Russian mafia. Willem Dafoe plays a gay FBI agent (he listens to opera while examining crime scenes) who knows what the boys are doing but feels that their vigilante tactics are necessary. There's not much plot to The Boondock Saints--it's mostly a series of violent scenes in which the boys are partially ingenious and partially lucky. The movie seems to want to provoke debate about vigilantism, but the scenario is too implausible to stir any real controversy. The peculiar mix of earnestness and machismo will not appeal to everyone, but it's certainly unique and may acquire a cult following. --Bret Fetzer

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love this movie
I love this movie because it is a combination between action and comedy and it has an interesting argument. The two main characters are murderers. However, they only go after criminals, and criminals who perform the worst crimes. So they are like vigilantes.... Irish Catholic vigilantes at that. I absolutely love this movie and it's plot. It is funny and action packed. I recommend this movie to everyone. Although it is too violent for people under the age of 17.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Makes a nice crunching sound when you shred it....
I'd rather eat cold pork gravy with a hair in it than sit though this thing again. This is the only DVD that I owned that actually ran though my shredder after watching it. Some films are so bad their good. This waste of time is so bad it's bad. If the Sopranos and Death Wish films were first cousins and they decided to have a baby, this film is the red haired, bucktooth freckled faced spawn that this union would bring - and this kid won't shut up.

This is a headache inducing ride through ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Interesting
This is an interesting movie. I only rated it a three-star. It certainly asks what is moral and what is for the 'greater good', etc. The movie starts a little slow to me, but it gets better. It has more drama than action, in my opinion. It's certainly worth watching once.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Look A Little Closer..
The film Boodock Saints can be considered a cult classic, but this title also hurts it. Many people do not look past the language or the sheer impossibility of these circumstances ever happening. This film is fun to watch, has quirky lines and situations, and even has a moral.
Brothers Connor and Murphy exemplify true Bostonian Irishmen. They drink, smoke, and go to church...all in the same day while saying numerous explitives. But their intentions and hearts are pure. They may seem like stupid ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Action packed ride of revenge!
Willem Dafoe is highly entertaining as a gay detective in persuit of Irish twin brothers (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus) on a city wide death spree.
This movie successfuly combines action and comedy. It's a very strong movie with strong beliefs.

These 2 twins are highly relgious and practice vigilante justice under the pretence of clensing the world of sinners. These guys do what each of us imagine we could.

The bad things they do are justified in their minds because ... Read More
