- Great poultry shears!I have one word to describe these poultry shears. Greatness! Ok, I have more than one word for these shears, so here goes. I like the stainless steel spring that flexes the blades back open after each cut. I like the no slip handle with the enclosed finger guard. This is nice when cutting slick chicken. - Oxo Poultry ShearsAs with all Oxo products, this one didn't disappoint. Excellent steel quality is SHARP! I also like the fact that the blades come apart and is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning, especially since this will be used on poultry. Highly recommended.

- ok but not such Good GripsI had hoped that these would be the answer for me in cutting up a couple of chickens a week, bones and all, for feeding pets. They're not quite. The grips have to open widely enough that I can barely keep my grip, and I have medium sized hands. The upper non-circular grip is shaped such that it allows, no, forces my hand to slide forward into an awkward position which has less leverage for cutting through bones.
