After many years and many game updates, this is still one of the best MMOs out there. For anyone who has never played it, I highly recommend it.

I've owned this game for almost 4 years... I think. I took about a year off and just came back to it after my roomate started playing on my account and soon my girlfriend got hooked too. This is a great MMO and has the best online community I've been a part of. The challenge level really picks up in the mid-20's, but this has been relieved a bit lately with the XP smoothing they've applied to the game. Ok heres the deal. If you like comic books and comic book super heroes then you will probably like this game....for a while. The character creation is unmatched by any game I have ever seen. Every person I know that plays it and many that have never actually played the game enjoyed the creation process that often can take several hours out of your day. There are thousands of possibilities in creating your super heroes look which is exciting but daunting.

COH/COV is just a simple fun MMO. It is not complicated, there isnt a ton of things you need to learn to play effectively.
Many players that were around for the start of City of Heroes will say how City of Villains is horrible and how it ruined this and that. Remember, that is their opinion. I too played CoH before CoV but for me, it just added more to do. It added PvP but you are not forced to PvP...you can avoid it all together.
