![]() Rating: - Man can this guy shred!BP is, simply put, the Clapton of country music. This CD is a must for all fans of the guitar rock of The Eagles, The Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughn & Duane Eddy among others. Rating: - Play belongs in every players collectionI knew Brad Paisley was a great picker--but I didn't know what a great PLAYER he is. There is homage to nearly every kind of music on "Play"--from country, to jazz, to rock, to bluegrass. And there is so much of the same paid to other great guitar players. There is a bit of Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Eric Johnson, Stevie Ray--and I think I even heard a bit of Tommy Emmanuel. Brad's guitar is truly an extension of his body--just read the album liner notes and you will find out that the guitar is everything ... Read More Rating: - Mostly InstrumentalWhile I would like to say I am one of the biggest Brad Paisley fans, this is not my favorite album. What I love about Brad's music is mostly the lyrics. Don't get me wrong, he is one of the greatest guitar players, too, but I enjoy songs like Alcohol, Better Than This, and Waiting on a Woman. So a great instrumental album, but if you're looking for a good sing along song...not really here. Rating: - instrumental sound trackit is not your typical Brad Paisley music--I was disappointed in that it is mostly instrumental. Rating: - Brad Paisley is a geniusBrad Paisley has outdone himself, which is saying a lot after a string of outstanding albums. If you are a fan of guitar songs and instrumental work, this album is a must. A ton of huge names make guest appearances, showing the respect Paisley commands among musicians.
