- Fun and forgettableDracula, legendary lord of the Vampires. Apocalypse, immortal mutant menace. What happens when they meet in Victorian England?
This book introduces some interesting ideas including a clan of Apocalypse descendants who inherit some of his power and tells a fairly straightforward story of battles between these two immortal foes. It isn't profound, it isn't particularly original. And it's far from essential. But it is fun.
I would not pay cover price for it but if you find a cheap copy it's worth a read.

- Brutal and Fun.What grabbed me about this graphic novel was the title. Of all the VS team-ups this ranks near the top of the odd category , along with Tarzan Vs. Predator. I grabbed it for novelty's sake, not expecting much, and found myself pleasantly surprised, as I was with Robocop Vs. Terminator.
Here we have Tieri doing what he does best; Working with two sets of villainous characters, out to destroy each other. There are no heroes here; at best the characters are morally grey. The plot revolves around the Clan Akabari (who are the mortal descendants of the immortal Apocalypse), and their dealings with both Apocalypse and Dracula. Tieri writes each of the major players are written spot on, based on their past history. It's a brutal tale, filled with a few twist and betrayals, and certainly I had fun with it.
4 issues doesn't give you the most amount of time to work with the material, but I feel a lot was covered in the space given. It isn't the greatest story, but it is fun and unapologetic. If you understand the type of story you are buying, then you will not be disappointed.

- I purchased this book because I'm a Dracula fan... I became an Apocalypse fan!This was not the best Dracula series Marvel has done. In fact, as a Dracula series it ranks near the bottom. However, since I'm not an X-Men reader I didn't know that much about Apocalypse but in this series I became a fan of the character.
Apocalypse has a complex history. This story takes place in the 1800's and the Dracula is not all that true to his Marvel history. The art is a little spotty also.
Still, it was a quick read and the story wasn't that bad (mainly because of Apocalypse) but unless you're a Marvel Dracula completest, you can skip this one.

- Worth the expense?I read quite a few graphic novels and the most pressing part for me is the expense of the book compared to the content. Most of the graphic novels are 2 -3 times the price of a paperback!
This one was no different. The worst thing about it is the length. The story, artwork, content are all great but the story is just to short. I would recommend it just for the content. It shows these characters in a new way and it peaked my interest in both characters again.
