In association with Amazon.com - She looks hot!I do not collect these things nor am I that into it. I'm 38 years old and I loved Wonder Woman as a kid and decided to get a DVD for my daughter who is now 4 years old. I came across this figurine and decided to get myself a little something. She is on my desk and for some reason, everytime I look at her I feel powerful. This is definitely one of the best "dolls" I've seen as far as workmanship goes. She looks like a super sexy - won't take anyone's crap - can totally kick your a-- type chic. She falls off her stand alot so I do plan to crazy glue her on eventually. Rating: - BeautifulAnother addition to my collectibles. This Series 1 Wonder Woman figurine is beautiful with its details and colors. And its appearance follows closely to how Terry Dodson made Wonder Woman looks beautiful, sexy and simply outstanding. Rating: - New Wonder Woman figure lineThe new Wonder Woman Series 1 line was released and what a collection. I bought Wonder Woman and Donna Troy as Wonder Woman. The classic uniform has rich detail and the paint job is vibrant making a great collectible to hang on your wall as a show piece. The lasso is actually gold, and not painted on the hip like former figures. I was impressed by this figure and was not bothered by the original $[...] asking price. Rating: - Wonder Woman Series I: Wonder WomanFrom the new DC Direct series based upon Terry Dodson's stunning rendition of the legendary Amazon Princess, this depiction of Wonder Woman (as an action figure) is fantastic. I would rate it as almost dead even with the `Justice' Series 3 rendition of Wonder Woman in terms of being the best Wonder Woman figure produced in the last several years. The criteria I am setting forth are as follows: 1. Does this Wonder Woman figure accurately resemble its promotional photos? Absolutely! As most collectors know, promotional photos (particularly, ones made public months in advance of the figure's actual release) can be rather deceptive, as one terrific figure is promised but then, the released figure will pale in comparison to the photo. In this case, I would say the promotional photo and the Wonder Woman figure are at least 95% identical. In other words, the resemblance is dead on. Also, I was impressed as to how even the figure's eyes matched the photo. For whatever reason, some DC Direct figures have barely visible (i.e. poorly painted) eyes, but you can clearly see this figure's radiant eyes from a distance. I give DC Direct an excellent grade on making good on its advertising for this figure. Score: 10/10 2. Does the figure have much articulation (for display purposes)? Honestly, I don't have any idea as to the number of articulation points this figure supposedly has. All I know is that it is at least functional in terms of basic movement. As a collector, my primary concern is that it can stand proportionally on its own using the enclosed display base w/o tipping over. I didn't have any trouble positioning the figure on the base, and it stands pretty much perfectly. I will note, however, just like the `Infinite Crisis' version of Wonder Woman, this figure's hips are angled in such a way that one leg seems longer than the other. As a result, your choice of display poses is limited. Score: 8.5/10 3. Do the figure's accessories enhance the figure? The 'magic' golden lasso (the sole accessory provided, minus the display base) can be grasped in her right hand easily enough w/o falling out. However, unlike the `Justice' and `Infinite Crisis' versions of Wonder Woman, this one doesn't have any hook at her waistband to hold the lasso, so you are left without any choices as to where to display the lasso. Score: 8/10. 4. Is the figure an excellent investment (or as a recommended addition to an action figure collection)? Yes! If you can find it for a reasonable price, I highly recommend purchasing one. The other ones in this series I would recommend are Diana Prince (again, an exact likeness to the promotional photo) and Donna Troy as Wonder Woman (it's close enough to the photo). Unfortunately, I haven't viewed the Circe figure, which would complete the quartet, so I can't hazard an opinion on it. Score: 10/10. 5. What do I think, overall? If compared fairly to the various other Wonder Woman figures produced by DC Direct in the last few years, I would say this version is certainly a front runner. I would still give a slight edge to the `Justice' version for having a lasso hook and perhaps a little more pose flexibility. However, this figure has a simply wonderful visual look and meets all expectations one should reasonably have. My final score: 9.25/10
